Kelly Windham » ABOUT ME

Words matter.
They can build up or break down. They can open doors or close them. They can foster dialogue or impede it.
It is Kelly Windham's goal as an educator to help students learn to wield words with forethought, confidence, and respect, and in doing so, build their own opportunities, open their own doors, and foster dialogue that helps them grow as compassionate and discerning citizens of the world.
Kelly received her B.A. in History with a minor in English from Texas A&M University in 2004. She has worked in the world of education for 16 years. In addition to her time as a classroom teacher, Kelly served in the United States Peace Corps from 2010-2012 in the Republic of Azerbaijan where she partnered with the Azerbaijani English Teachers' Association. She also worked in the Center for Civic Leadership at Rice University before finding a new home at Legacy Early College High School.
When she's not teaching, Kelly is busy chasing her daughter, Theo. Raising a tiny human is hard work.
