Legacy Early College High School's Chess Club introduces students to a sport that has been termed "the ultimate test of cerebral fitness." Chess is a paradox; an ancient game that somehow still captivates and enthralls young people in this modern world. It is a game of pure strategy and it teaches analytical and problem-solving skills. Legacy Chess Club is proud to introduce students to this timeless game. We take students of varying skill levels, even complete beginners, and improve their chess playing considerably!
The Legacy Chess club is in its eighth year, and it is currently run by the following students: Crystal Eddy, president; Robert Harmon, vice-president; Brandi Cook, secretary; Damaris Loredo and Sofia Valladares, officers. The Legacy Chess Club meets on Tuesdays after school in Mr. Collier's room. All students are welcome to join!
